Hersheypark is looking for talented, motivated, and passionate performers, technicians, and musicians with a strong desire to work hard and provide a memorable experience for guests. The 2016 resident shows will be produced by RWS & Associates and Windish Music and Productions in conjunction with Hersheypark Entertainment.
The Hersheypark Entertainment Department will hold auditions and technician interviews at the Hershey Theatre (15 E. Caracas Avenue, Hershey, Pennsylvania) on Saturday, February 13, 2016. All production companies involved in casting shows will be in attendance.
Seeking the following for the 2016 Summer Season:
Singer/Dancers
o All singer/dancers must register as EITHER a singer OR a dancer. Choose your strongest talent and register accordingly.
o Singers should prepare two vocal selections of contrasting styles (16 bars each).
o Please bring sheet music in the proper key or an edited musical track on a CD. An accompanist will be provided.
o Beat Boxing skills are a plus – please note this on your registration form.
o Singers may be called back to learn a dance combination after the vocal audition, and dancers may be asked to sing. However, not all singers will be asked to dance and not all dancers will be asked to sing.
Dancers
o Dancers should be prepared to learn several dance combinations.
o Please wear appropriate dance attire and shoes.
Vocalists
Specialty Performers
o Be prepared to demonstrate a comedic monologue.
o Be prepared to exhibit improv skills.
o Please note specialty skills on your registration form.
• Juggling
• Clowning
• Sleight of hand magic tricks
Instrumentalists
o Trumpet, Trombone, Saxophone, Tuba, Keyboard, Multi-Percussion, Drum Kit, Guitar, and Bass
• Musicians should prepare technical and lyrical excerpts and be prepared to demonstrate improvisational skills. A drum set, keyboard, guitar amp, and bass amp will be provided. Please bring all other instruments/equipment to your audition. Visit Windish Music and Productions for more specific musician audition requirements.
Costume Character Performers
o Height must be between 4’ 10” and 6’2”
o Please wear clothing suitable for athletics/the gym and be prepared to wear a Hershey’s Product Character costume.
o Be prepared to demonstrate improv skills while wearing the costume.
o Be prepared to learn a simple dance combination and perform it while wearing the costume.
o Dancing and acting experience a plus, but not required.
o Must be able to withstand hot temperatures underneath many layers of costumes.
o Must be physically fit.
Technicians: Stage Managers, Stagehands, Audio Technicians, Dressers, Lighting Technicians, and Wardrobe Supervisors
o All technicians should prepare for an interview.

• Singers - 9:00 AM
• Technicians, Specialty Performers and Musician Walk Up - 10:00 AM
• Costume Characters and Dancers - 2:00 PM
Call backs will take place as needed later in the day.
Please come dressed, warmed up, and prepared to audition/interview as soon as you are called. There may be a moderate wait time between your check-in and your actual audition/interview.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and/or a high school graduate by the start of rehearsals, which begin in May. Contracts run through either August or September. Performers/Musicians: Starting at $525 per week. Technicians: Starting at $500-525 per week. Non-Union.
