Marriott Theatre will hold an open dance call for union and non-union dancers/singers on Thursday, May 17th at the Marriott Theatre Rehearsal Warehouse (1342 Barclay Blvd, Buffalo Grove, 60089) for their upcoming production of Holiday Inn (dates and more info at MarriottTheatre.com/Auditions).
Specifically seeking performers with strong tap training who sing. Dance call for AEA and non-AEA male-identifying dancers will take place at 10am, AEA female-identifying dancers at 1pm, and non-AEA female-identifying dancers will be seen at 3:30pm.
Seeking locally based dancers/singers only at this time (must have housing in the Chicagoland area). All ethnicities are strongly encouraged to audition. No performers under 18 are being seen at this time. Please bring tap and character shoes, and male-identifying dancers should bring knee pads. To be considered for a principal role (Ted, Lila, Linda), you should attend this open dance call.
Bring one 16 bar song (equivalent to one minute in length) and a second contrasting selection in case the artistic team needs to hear more. Please bring music in your key and an updated H/R. An accompanist will be provided. For questions, please email Peter.Sullivan@MarriottTheatre.com.
