Local Auditions July 22 & 23 at The MEZZ
HAND TO GOD AUDITION INFORMATION:
Generations Productions is holding auditions for the play HAND TO GOD on July 22-23, 2017 from 9am to 5pm, with Callbacks being held on the 23rd from 2pm to 5pm. Auditions will be held at The MEZZ in downtown Orlando (100 S Eola Dr Suite #200, Orlando, FL 32801) BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. The show runs October 12 – 22 at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts’ Alexis and Jim Pugh Theater, with rehearsals beginning September 17th.

NEW SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
Generation Productions has teamed up with Performerstuff.com and their new casting website. To submit please follow this link:
https://performerstuff.com/handtogodauditions
You will then be prompted to fill out a profile and easily create a resume on their site. You will then simply click on the roles you want to read for. The requests will be screened, and approved applicants will receive an email containing two links: one linking to a calendar to schedule an audition appointment, and one to a list of all audition sides and musical numbers for the audition. Auditioners will be in charge of scheduling, changing, or cancelling their own appointment.
Generations Productions will strictly be using this platform for upcoming auditions. Following the initial set up, interested auditioners will go directly to the next show, and choose the roles they wish to want to apply for.

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:
JASON/TYRONE - Male, 18-29, puppet skills a plus, but can train, must be able to play two parts at once.
PASTOR GREG - Male 35-60, A sturdy and devout man.
TIMMY - Male 18-30, the troubled bully.
JESSICA/JOLENE - Female 18-25, perky, but with a serious side.

Generation Productions presents the Broadway play HAND TO GOD, written by Robert Askins.

Synopsis: The good children of Cypress, Texas are taught to obey the Bible in order to evade Satan’s hand, but all hell breaks loose when meek Jason’s puppet at the Christian Puppet Ministry presents a shockingly sinister agenda of its own. In this hilarious and lightning-paced comedy, a foul-mouthed sock puppet named Tyrone soon teaches those around him that a person’s darkest urges and desires fit like a glove, and Jason must re-define himself before the ventriloquist becomes the dummy. This raunchy, irreverent Tony Award-nominated Broadway comedy hit inspires chills and chuckles as it unravels the fragility of faith.
