God Of Carnage is a dark comedy about two couples who come together to discuss a fight between their children. We watch as their marriages fall apart and they become more like children than their children. It's like a turbulent plane ride that doesn't calm down until someone throws up.
Character Breakdown
ALAN RALEIGH - 40 - 60 - Any ethnicity - Male presenting. Annette's husband. Top-notch lawyer. He is the fighter/hero, in his mind. He fights until he wins or exhausts his opponent. Admittedly, the responsible parent routine is not his strong suit. He does not mince words and figuratively takes up a lot of space.
ANNETTE RALEIGH 35 - 50 - Any ethnicity - Female presenting. Alan's second wife. She puts up the front of being concerned. She is very intelligent and she knows it. She says she is in wealth management. She is proper until she isn't. Even though she comes across as demure, when she lets it all out she is aggressive and crass.
MICHAEL NOVAK 40 - 55 - Any ethnicity - Male presenting. Veronica's husband. A guy from the neighborhood who done good. He owns a wholesale company selling household goods. He does not want to have to deal with Veronica's anger. He has his opinion about things but changes them to whatever Veronica says, until he can't any longer. He's a macho man who is afraid of rodents.
VERONICA NOVAK - 40 - 50 - Any ethnicity - Female presenting. She is Michael's wife, incredibly intelligent, and a fighter. She will not back down and has no problem expressing her opinion. She is accustomed to getting her way. She is well-educated, an author, and a mother. She is very conscious of her place in civilized society.
