Upcoming Auditions
Gettysburg Community Theatre, the non-profit 501c3 organization located at
49 York Street in historic downtown Gettysburg, PA, is now in its 14th year of offering educational, performance, and volunteer opportunities year-round to all ages and abilities.
“We are always looking for volunteers”, says GCT Founding Executive/Artistic Director, Chad-Alan Carr, “who would like to be on stage or help behind the scenes for any one of our many events.”
Gettysburg Community Theatre is accepting submissions for the role of Mildred Loving’s brother, an African American male that can carry a tune, for the play LOVING which is based on the true story of Loving vs. Virginia. Actors interested should submit email by March 1st to
info@GettysburgCommunityTheatre.org This will be a in person production once cast.
Gettysburg Community Theatre is also accepting video audition submissions from teens and adults for in person Broadway and Pride Cabarets. Singers can send one minute or less videos of themselves singing Broadway songs of their choice and/or pop/blues/country/contemporary songs that already have or can have an LGBTQ+ spin on them; for example: “True Colors”, “I Will Survive”, “Somebody To Love”, “Give Me One Reason”, and “Does He Love You”. Videos can be sent to
info@GettysburgCommunityTheatre.org by March 1 for a March 26th event and/or by May 1st for a June event date TBD.
Gettysburg Community Theatre is also holding youth auditions for 1st-12th Grade singers for 2022 youth productions. With parent permission, youth can submit video auditions of them singing a song of their choice if they are unable to attend one of the following in person audition dates for in person productions. Youth audition dates to choose from include 6pm April 13, 6pm May 11, or 6pm May 24. Everyone at an in person audition date or video submission to
info@GettysburgCommunityTheatre.org will be considered for casting in one or more of the youth productions of Junie B. Jones the musical based on the books which will perform as part of a July Summer Day Camp, James And The Giant Peach, also based on a book which will perform as part of June Summer Day Camp, and Xanadu based on the 80’s film which will perform in October as part of a Fall Musical Theatre Class. Youth singers can choose which productions they are interested in being considered for. Financial Need Based Scholarship applications are also available online at

Tickets to in person LIVE performances are also available with GCT including their upcoming performances of Improv Comedy Show 7pm March 4th, The Complete Works Of William Shakespeare (abridged) revised weekends March 11-20, 2022, and Disney’s Winnie The Pooh KIDS weekends April 1-10, 2022. Tickets can be ordered at
www.GettysburgCommunityTheatre.org and since GCT is a small 80 seat theatre, it is highly recommended that tickets be ordered in advance online. There are no limits on streaming tickets though. Auditions, class registration, and volunteer opportunities can also be found online.
