The CM Performing Arts Center is seeking performers 18+ with Day Time Availability for our upcoming Family Theatre/Day Rep production of Frosty's Big Day. Performers who are cast will be paid $40 per performance. There are currently 15 Scheduled Performances.

The CM Performing Arts Center is committed to equity, diversity and inclusion in the casting and encourages actors of diverse backgrounds and underrepresented groups to audition. Pleas email a video submission of 16-32 bars of any Holiday Song, along with headshot and resume to

CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS

FROSTY – Frosty is warm-hearted and joyful, despite being made of snow. He is playful, optimistic, and full of wonder, always excited about life and eager to spread cheer wherever he goes. His childlike innocence makes him the ultimate symbol of the holiday spirit.

THE NARRATOR – Wise and gentle, the Narrator serves as the guide for the audience, telling Frosty’s story with a sense of nostalgia and warmth. They provide insight into the emotions and themes of the story, always with a touch of magic and humor.

THE LITTLE GIRL – The Little Girl is brave, curious, and full of holiday wonder. She believes in magic and is a friend to Frosty, helping him on his big day. She’s determined to protect Frosty and ensure his magic lives on.

ABRA CADABRA – Sassy, quick-witted, and a bit of a show-off, Abra Cadabra adds a playful dynamic to the story. He’s clever and loves to perform tricks, often using his magic in humorous or surprising ways. Though he’s small, he has a big personality.

THE PROFESSOR: The Professor is bumbling but has a mischievous side. He’s the antagonist of the story. He’s more comedic than evil, though he’s overly serious about his own misguided plans.

SANTA CLAUS: Santa is wise, generous, and filled with holiday spirit. He is the ultimate symbol of Christmas and provides guidance to the characters. He arrives at just the right moment to help Frosty, bringing a sense of magic and resolution to the story.

MRS. CLAUS: Kind and motherly, Mrs. Claus is the supportive backbone of Santa’s operation. She’s practical and thoughtful, always there to help Santa or offer a bit of wisdom and magic herself. Her humor is gentle but sharp, and she often knows how to solve problems with ease.

SCHOOL KIDS: Seeking four performers to portray a mulitude of roles throughout the story.
