This summer, CFTC is excited to bring one of the most beloved movie musicals in American cinematic history to the stage! FOOTLOOSE, based on the 1984 film, tells the story of out-of-towner Ren, as he moves from big city Chicago to small town America. Unprepared for religious local edicts, including a ban on dancing instituted by the local pastor, Ren sets out to bring forgotten joy to the town. Audiences will rock to the Oscar and Tony-nominated top 40 score and soundtrack that reached number one on the Billboard charts. FOOTLOOSE is sure to thrill audiences young and old.
Auditionees must be age 13 or older.
Younger actors should check out our exciting Summer Drama Camp "The Wizard of Oz!"
16-32 bar cut of musical theatre piece that shows off your best range and personality. Please do not sing any songs from “Footloose” at the initial audition. Pianist will be provided, please bring clearly marked sheet music with a piano part or chord chart [not just the vocal line].
All auditionees will signup for an hour long slot with a max of 15 participants in which they will complete a singing audition followed by a dance audition. Please dress in appropriate clothing and shoes for the dance audition.
Read more about auditions, and the rehearsal calendar on our website HERE.
Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early for your audition to fill out audition paperwork. We try to run auditions on schedule, but please allow extra time after your hour time slot in case we are running late. We appreciate your flexibility as we try and see everyone we can during audition days.
CALLBACKS: Thursday, May 24 from 7pm-10pm (If we have a large group for callbacks, we may move the start time back to 6pm for some individuals)
