DATE & TIME (Check in 1 hour prior) Sunday, June 7, 2015 at 2.00 pm Monday, June 8, 2015 at 7.30 pm LOCATION Theatre Suburbia 4106 Way Out West Dr., Ste N Houston, TX 77092 SHOW Dark Deeds at Swan's Place (or Never Trust a Tattooed Sailor) by Tim Kelly Montague Leech and Carlota Castanet make a tidy profit shanghaiing lads from a disreputable tavern. The owner expires leaving the tavern to his only heir, Bertha Birthright. Montague must get rid of the damsel. Enter Jack Swan, English sailor with a love for the theatre. He offers Bertha protection and the hilarity mounts, especially after gold is discovered. DIRECTOR Suzanne King ASSISTANT DIRECTOR Lindsay Smith REHEARSALS June 10 - July 23, 2015 7:30 pm weeknights PERFORMANCES July 24 to August 29, 2015 Fridays & Saturdays at 8:30 pm Sundays, August 2, 9, 16, and 23 at 3:00 pm CHARACTERS (6 women and 5 - 7 men - late teens - 60s) We are casting for ALL roles except the Villain who will be played by Adrian Collinson, returning for another summer as the bad guy! MOTHER MCGOOF - holding on to the flickering flame of life CAPTAIN BERMUDY - treachery on the high seas CARLOTA CASTANET DE SAN DIEGO - the she-wolf of Monterey MONTAGUE LEECH - not to be trusted (villain pre-cast) SOURDOUGH BIRTHRIGHT - felled by the lust for gold JACK SWAN - from England's shore. Any girl would be proud to have him for a brother. RAWHIDE - he shames the spirit of the Old West BILLY - a victim of the devil's brew TAI PAN - a petal from Peiking BERTHA - brought up in an orphanage MARY FAIRWEATHER - a friend indeed AUGUSTA VAN GUSH - one of the voices of society LT. LORNE ORDER - three cheers for the red, white, and blue SUSPICIOUS FEMALE - let no man mock the marriage vow PREACHER - dearly beloved we are gathered here but not for long OLIO ENTERTAINERS and TOWNSPEOPLE No monologue required. Auditions are readings from the script. Bring your resume and headshot if you have them. If not, we have forms and a camera. Questions?
