CHARACTERS
SIMEON & PETER (20s-30s): The brothers have spent their lives on the farm and are eager to move on to bigger and better adventures. O’Neill describes them as smelling “of dirt” and “earth stained.”
EBEN: This role has been cast.
EPFRAIM CABOT (60s-70s): Family patriarch, farmer, understands the yearning of loneliness and the fire of passion. O’Neill describes him as having a great, wiry, concentrated power.
ABBIE PUTNAM (20s-30s): Determined, obstinate, shrewd, sensuous. Described by O’Neill as “unsettled, untamed, desperate.
ENSEMBLE (Multiple Ages): Sheriff and other folks.
