to Hold Open Auditions
for Classic Thriller Deathtrap
The Company Theatre announces open auditions for their upcoming production of Deathtrap, Ira Levin’s classic suspense thriller, to be held Monday, July 29 at 7:00 pm, at The Company Theatre Centre for the Arts, 30 Accord Park Drive, Norwell. All roles are open for casting, a rehearsal schedule will be available at the audition. The production will be directed by Peter Carey.
One of the great popular successes of recent Broadway history, Deathtrap is an ingeniously constructed classic thriller offering gasp inducing thrills and spontaneous laughter. Dealing with the devious machinations of a writer whose recent plays have been flops, and who is prepared to go to any lengths to improve his fortune, it provides twists and turns and sudden shocks in such abundance that audiences will be held spellbound until the very last moment. Deathtrap holds the record as Broadway’s longest running comedy-thriller.
Audition candidates arrive prepared to read from the Deathtrap script. Audition candidates should bring a headshot or snapshot, and a resume is helpful but not required.
Performances of
Deathtrap will be held from October 4 through 20, with show times at 7:30 or 8:00 pm from Thursday through Saturday. Sundaymatinee performances will be held at 3:00 pm. Tickets are available for $23.00 to $25.00. For a complete performance schedule or to order tickets, please visit
