Georgetown Possum Point Players community theatre has scheduled open auditions for the Stephen Sondheim musical “Company” on Sunday, January 14, and Wednesday, January 17. Auditions are at 6:00 pm in Possum Hall, 441 Old Laurel Road, Georgetown.
Brian Flint directs “Company” and Bliss Soucek is choreographer. Show dates are April 5,6,7 and 12,13,14.
The show requires a cast of six men and eight women of ages ranging from 20’s to 50’s. Other than the age range, there are few specifics regarding the characters’ appearance. These auditions are open to all performers, all characters in the show sing and dance. Those auditioning are asked to prepare an up-tempo song not from the show. An accompanist will be present or those auditioning may bring appropriate accompaniment that does not include vocals. All are asked to wear comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear for dance movement as well.
