Columbia Children’s Theatre to hold auditions for its 2015-16 Season
Columbia Children’s Theatre (CCT), the Midlands’ only professional theatre for families and young audiences will hold auditions for its 2015-2016 Season on Friday, May 22 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm and Sunday, May 24 from 3:00 – 5:00 pm. Auditions are open to adult actors and teens at least 15 years old, and will be held in the theatre at CCT on the 2nd level of Richland Mall, 3400 Forest Drive. All positions will be paid.
CCT’s 2015-2016 Season includes: Click Clack Moo: Cows That Type (September),Jingle Arrrgh The Way (December), Mo Willem’s Elephant and Piggie: We’re in a Show(February), Seussical (April), and The Commedia Hansel and Gretel (June).
The theatre will also be casting two productions with its new touring arm, The CCT Storykeepers; Rudyard Kipling’s Just So Stories and a combined version of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet and Macbeth.
Audition Requirements
Auditions will be drop-in style; actors may come at any time during the two hour slot. Please bring current head shot and resume. You must be 15 by September 21st to audition.
Please prepare 16-24 bars of a Broadway-type song to be sung a capella. We may ask you to vocalize with piano. We will do cold readings from next season’s scripts.
A monologue is not required but if you’d like to do one that is performance-ready please feel free.
