Cockpit In Court Summer Theatre
Open Season Auditions – March 2 & 3rd
Cockpit In Court Summer Theatre announces its auditions for the summer 2019 Season. Auditions will take place March 2 & 3 at the CCBC Essex Campus.
Auditions will take place for two musicals, Disaster & Nice Work If You Can Get It, and two plays, Sylvia & The Unexpected Guest. Appointments can be made online.
Also, character breakdowns are available online. You can audition for all of the shows in the season, or just those that interest you. For musical auditions, please bring sheet music; an accompanist will be provided. Please plan to sing 16 to 32 bars. Please be prepared to dance and read from the script if asked to do so. For straight plays, you will be asked to read from the script. A prepared monologue is unnecessary.

Season Auditions for:
DISASTER! The Musical, Directed by Todd Pearthree
PRODUCTION DATES: June 14, 15, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29 at 8 p.m., June 16, 23, 30 at 3 p.m.
SYNOPSIS: Earthquakes, tidal waves, infernos and the unforgettable songs of the '70s take center stage in Broadway's side-splitting homage to classic disaster films.
NICE WORK If You Can Get It, Directed by Eric J. Potter
PRODUCTION DATES: July 19, 20, 26, 27 at 8 p.m., July 21, 28 at 3 p.m.
August 1, 2, 3 at 8p.m., August 4 at 3 p.m.
SYNOPSIS: A hilarious new screwball comedy, pokes fun at the Prohibition era in a clash of elegant socialites and boorish bootleggers, all set to the glorious songs of George and Ira Gershwin
SYLVIA Directed by Robert W. Oppel
PRODUCTION DATES: June 15, 21, 22, 28, 29 at 8 p.m., June 16, 23, 30 at 3 p.m.
SYNOPSIS: Greg brings home a dog he found in the park, bearing the name Sylvia on her name tag. Sylvia becomes a major bone of contention between husband and wife.
The Unexpected Guest Directed by Linda Chambers
PRODUCTION DATES: July 20, 26, 27 at 8 p.m., July 21, 28 at 3 p.m.
August 2, 3 at 8p.m., August 4 at 3 p.m.
SYNOPSIS: Lost in the fog, a stranger seeks refuge in a nearby house only to find a man shot dead and his wife standing over him with a smoking gun.
