Hershey Area Playhouse Holding Auditions for Charley’s Aunt
Hershey Area Playhouse is holding auditions for its 2016 spring comedy, Charley’s Aunt, Sunday, Feb. 28 and Monday, Feb. 29 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Callbacks, if needed, will be held Tuesday, March 1, beginning at 6 p.m.
Auditions will take place at the Playhouse, located at the corner of Sand Hill Road and Cherry Drive, Hershey. Roles for six men and four women are available. Those auditioning will be asked to read from the play’s script using a British accent.
Written by Brandon Thomas, Charley’s Aunt is an energetic and fast-paced farce that follows two students at Oxford who force their friend and fellow student to pose as an aunt from Brazil. The show is being directed by theatre veteran Jeff Cartwright, who most recently directed Lend Me A Tenor and Leading Ladies at the Playhouse. Performances will be held April 14-17 and 21-24, 2016, at the Playhouse.
