Out of the Box Theatre Company is casting "Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson", an emo punk musical featuring an audacious mix of historical fact and fiction. Rehearsals start Jan. 7, 2013. Performances run Feb. 14-24, 2013. All rehearsals and performances will be in Santa Barbara, CA.
Seeking— Andrew Jackson: male, 20s-30s, Caucasian, a roguish, man's president, deeply charming and sexy - so much so that you somehow don't mind he's a violent, arrogant, bigoted idiot, has rock star swagger, fights passionately for what he believes in, personifies "strong but wrong;" high baritone rock, up to a G belt.
Note: Jackson ages throughout the show, so actor should be able to play young. Must also be adept in deadpan comedy.
