Boston Playback Company is growing! We are looking to add others who enjoy improvisational acting with an ensemble, and are honest, open-hearted, and fun to be with! Our shows are based on real life stories from the audience, so we must get it quickly, then creatively play it back with insight and imagination. Like life, the stories we hear are sometimes funny, sometimes moving, sometimes both. You have to be able and willing to play the emotional spectrum. Paid cast will perform for conferences, events, workshops, and public shows. Here’s how it’ll work: 1. Contact info@BostonPlaybackCompany.com for an Application. If it looks like a good match, we’ll invite you to audition on Tuesday, March 20 7-9p or Sunday, March 25 3-5p. It’ll be both a group audition and an introduction to what Playback is all about. Callbacks: Tuesday March 27th, 7-9p. 2. If we’re interested, you will be required to attend four Tuesday evening training-practices from 7-10pm (April 3, 10, 17, 24). 3. If you’re asked to join, we practice on Tuesday nights (7-10pm in Cambridge). From here on, you’ll continue to practice until you’re ready to perform with us. Some people are ready within a month, some take longer. Please spread the word, and we hope to see you there!
