The ArtsCentric Summer Institute (ASI) will hold auditions for the 2017 summer program on Sunday, February 19th in Baltimore, Maryland. Appointments are available between 3:00 - 7:00 pm. Auditionees should arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the assessments, to allow time to fill out the audition form and warm-up. Be prepared to stay the entire hour for the time slot in which you signed up.
ASI offers a three-week performing arts intensive to teens and young adults ages 14 - 22. Over the three-week period, students explore the techniques of musical theatre performance from the perspective of an actor, dancer, and singer. ASI employs both group and individual instruction through activities which include: dance classes, choreography and musical staging rehearsals, acting and song analysis courses, private song coaching, and a series of master classes on subjects related to the field. At the end of the summer institute, each student receives a professional headshot! You can also expect an ASI student to participate in the summer production and perform on a showcase for college recruiters and casting directors. This summer, ASI’s 3-week intensive culminates with a performance of the Jason Robert Brown's, Songs for a New World.
Once you have signed up for an audition appointment, return to the ArtsCentric website to fill out the registration form. For additional information and details on what to prepare, visit www.artscentric.net. Click on the summer institute tab.
