ANNIE - Acting Naturally Theatre

Annie the Musical, Adult Auditions Book by Thomas Meehan, Music by Charles Strouse, Lyrics by Martin Charnin, Based on Little Orphan Annie. Auditions for Adult roles Monday, July 16th 7:00pm – 9:00pm.
Please bring picture and resume, prepare 16 bars of a musical Theatre song. Songs from the show ok. Cold readings from the script. All rehearsals and shows at Acting Naturally Theatre, 164 N. Flowers Mill Road, (at the Shoppes at Flowers Mill) Langhorne, Pa 19047.
Rehearsals Tuesday’s and Thursdays 7 - 9:30pm and some Saturday’s. Not every actor is called for every rehearsal. Shows December 7,8,9,14,15,16,21 & 22. Non-Union, Nonpaying. Stipend for travel 20+ miles from Acting Naturally Theatre.

Tech Week: December 1 - 5

ROLES:
Warbucks (Tenor) A successful businessman with a warm heart. Rich, stiff-collared, bullish.
Grace Farrell (soprano) Faithful secretary to Mr. Oliver Warbucks. Poised, sweet, gentle.
Miss Hannigan (alto) The orphanage matron who hates children but is fond of liquor. Very disillusioned, bitter, and cold.
Rooster (tenor) Miss Hannigan's no-good brother looking for a quick buck. A sleazy, slick con man.
Lily (soprano)Rooster's girlfriend, who is also out for a quick buck. She is considered to be a floozy and bimbo.
Bert Healy (Tenor)The ultimate radio personality. He helps Annie by broadcasting about the search for her birth parents.
Roosevelt The 32nd President of the United States. A Democrat and friend of Warbucks.
Gender: Male
Large Ensemble Roles with solos and duets double as Servants (Drake, Mrs. Greer, Mrs. Pugh) Bundles, Lt. Ward, Harold Ickes, Frances Perkins, Cordell Hull, Henry Morganhau, Louis Howe, Boylan Sisters, Cabinet Members, Hooverville Citizens

PREPARE:
Please prepare 16-32 bars of a musical theatre song in the style of the show.

BRING:
Please bring sheet music; an accompanist will be provided. No taped music Please bring a headshot, resume & list of conflicts.

REHEARSALS:
Regular rehearsals begin September 18
Rehearsals will take place on Tuesdays & Thursdays 7 – 9:30pm and some Saturdays
