Established in 2007, The Lower Ossington Theatre (also known as The LOT) has become a hub for theatre in the downtown core. The LOT is also the home of Toronto Youth Theatre (TYT), a registered charity dedicated to giving young people the opportunity of working and growing in a professional theatre
environment.
Job Description
The Toronto Youth Theatre in production with the LOT is currently holding auditions for their upcoming production of the musical Aladdin Jr. We are looking to fill all available roles in this production for performers ages 15 - 18 years of age. This summer opportunity would be particularly beneficial to young company member who is preparing to attend a post secondary arts institution for musical theatre, and for young performers who intend on pursuing a professional arts career. There is no cost to participate in this program, and an honorarium will be provided to successful candidates.
Audition: Saturday June 6th 2015
Requirements
For these roles please prepare two contrasting songs (musical theatre). 32 bars in length with music properly marked, double-sided, and in a binder as an accompanist is provided. If sheet music is not available, please be prepared to sing a capella. Please be prepared with a monologue that are no longer than 1.5 minute in length (contemporary)
Details:
Rehearsal Schedule: Monday thru Thursday 10 am to 5 pm.
Starting Monday July 13th 2015, and running through to Thursday August 13th 2015.
Technical rehearsal at the Randolph Theatre would be during the week of Aug 17th - 21st 2015.
