The CM Performing Arts Center will be holding auditions for ALL SHOOK UP on Monday, October 28th & Tuesday, October 29th at 7:30pm. Rehearsals will begin the beginning of November. Performances are January 11-February 1.
It’s 1955 and into a square little town in a square little state rides a guitar-playing young man who changes everything and everyone he meets. Loosely based on Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, this hip-swiveling, lip-curling musical fantasy will have you jumpin’ out of your blue suede shoes with such classics as “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Hound Dog,” “Jailhouse Rock,” and “Don’t Be Cruel.”

Please bring headshot/resume and prepare 16-32 bars of a song in the style of the show with sheet music – an accompanist will be provided. Be prepared to dance following the vocal audition. If you cannot make auditions, please email Ashley at

CAST OF CHARACTERS:
NATALIE HALLER/ED – A mechanic and small-town tomboy who dreams of having more. Dresses up as “Ed” to get closer to Chad. Age Range: 18-30. Strong belt to C5, must be able to move well.
CHAD – The “Elvis” character. A great-lookin’, motorcycling, guitar-playing, leather-jacketed roustabout. Age Range: 20-30. Rock baritone to A flat, must be able to move well.
DENNIS – A young, quirky and awkward, aspiring dentist and Natalie’s best friend. Age Range: 18-30. Strong tenor to B flat, must be able to move well.
JIM HALLER – Natalie’s widowed father, down-to-earth and messy. Age Range: 40-60. Baritone to E flat.
SYLVIA – African-American; The no-nonsense owner of Sylvia’s Honky-Tonk and Lorraine’s mother. Age Range: 40-60. Strong belt to B flat.
LORRAINE – African-American; Sylvia’s smart, sassy, and sweet teenage daughter looking for love. Age Range: 18+ to play 16-18. Strong belt to C and mix to high F, must be great dancer.
MISS SANDRA – The beautiful, intellectual caretaker of the town’s museum. Age Range: 25-35. High belter.
DEAN HYDE – Mayor Matilda’s teenage son. He has spent his youth at military boarding schools and has never disobeyed his mother. Age Range: 18+ to play 16-18. Strong tenor to B#, must be great dancer.
MAYOR MATILDA HYDE – The town’s prim and proper conservative Mayor. Age Range: 35-50. Strong soprano voice.
SHERIFF EARL – The law in town and a man of few words, he loyally follows the Mayor wherever she goes. Age Range: 40-55. Baritone to E flat.
ENSEMBLE – 8 men & 8 women, incredibly strong singers and dancers, ages 16+ of all ethnicities.
