(see below for scheduling info) Please prepare 16 bars of a song that best shows off your voice Readings will be done from the script and will be available at the sign in table Wear comfortable clothing and bring your dance shoes!

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:
(ages are age of character not actor)
NATALIE HALLER: (alto/20-30) a mechanic, a young girl who dreams of falling in love with a special guy.
CHAD: (baritone/25-35) a great-lookin', motorcyclin', guitar-playin', leather-jacketed roustabout.
JIM HALLER: (baritone/45-65) Natalie's widowed father.
SYLVIA: (belt/40-55) the no-nonsense, African-American owner of SYLVIA'S HONKY-TONK.
LORRAINE: (belt/15-18) Sylvia's 16 year-old daughter.
DENNIS: (tenor/20-30) a young, awkward, aspiring dentist.
MISS SANDRA: (alto/24-33) the beautiful, intellectual caretaker of the town's museum.
MAYOR MATILDA HYDE: (alto/40-55) the town's conservative mayor.
DEAN HYDE: (tenor/15-18) Matilda's 16 year-old son. He has grown up at a military boarding school.
SHERIFF EARL: (baritone/40-65) the law in town. A man of few words.
