An original musical comedy by Sandy Merrill Smolen

AUDITION DATE: SAT MAY 04, 12PM-4PM



CALLBACKS : SUNDAY MAY 05 AT 6 PM



(Actors being called back will be notified by email on Saturday, May 04 by 9pm)

AUDITIONEES REQUIRED TO SCHED AN APPT. Actors will be seen in 5 min slots from 12-4pm.



Should the need arise, more slots will be added in the morning.

ALL ROLES AVAILABLE. ALL ROLES AGE RANGE 25-55



SEEKING:



*(3) male singer/actors (1) Frank Sinatra & (1) Dean Martin type and (1) struggling songwriter PIANO SKILLS FOR SONGWRITER A HUGE PLUS!!!

(1) African- American “Sammy Davis” type ( tap skills a plus but not required).

(1) female "character actress" plays multiple roles including Ava Gardner... should possess the "essence of Ava". dance/movement skills a plus but not required.



*NOTE: Actors/Actress possessing piano and/or upright bass skills a plus, but not essential.



AUDITIONEES SHOULD PREPARE: (1) one minute monologue and 16 bars of a 1960’s standard in the style of “The Rat Pack”. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring sheet music in the correct key. NO CHARTS, NO A CAPELLA & NO TAPED ACCOMPANIMENT please.



SHOW SYNOPSIS: All for a Song is a musical comedy about a songwriter who interacts with the Rat Pack during the Spring of 1963. The Rat Pack style of music was quickly becoming a past-tense phenomenon with the fast approaching “British Invasion”. Together they find a "groove" to keep the music playing!
