The Sherman Playhouse Holds Casting Call for
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
October 5 - 6
The Sherman Playhouse is holding an audition call for a large cast of men and women (ages 7 to 70) for their family-friendly Holiday production of ALICE'S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND.
This whimsical retelling of Lewis Carroll's enduring classic has been adapted by playwright Christopher Rich and tells the tale of a little girl who falls down a rabbit hole into a nonsensical world with countless strange creatures, including a high-strung Queen of Hearts and a tap dancing Mad Hatter. Confusion piles upon confusion until Alice wakes with a start, whereupon she can only wonder if it was all a daydream.
Auditions are Monday, October 5, and Tuesday, October 6, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at The Sherman Playhouse, 5 Route 39 North (next to the fire station), inSherman, CT.
No appointments necessary to audition. Sign-ups are in the green room around the back of the Playhouse. Actors will be asked to read from the script and sing Acappella (at least 16 bars of whatever shows off one's range). All roles are available and both professionals and amateurs are welcome. PLEASE NOTE: THERE ARE ONLY THREE PARTS (ALICE, MOUSE & DOORMOUSE) THAT SPECIFICALLY CALL FOR CHILDREN. For more details and character breakdowns, visit
SHERMANPLAYERS.ORG.
ALICE'S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND is under the direction of Beth Bonnabeau of New Milford.
