Mad Cow Theatre announces auditions for Ain’t Misbehavin’
MAD COW THEATRE is holding auditions for its upcoming production of Ain’t Misbehavin’ a musical revue with music by Thomas “Fats” Waller conceived by Murray Horwitz and Richard Maltby. Production dates are June 5, 2015, through July 5, 2015. Rehearsal begins on May 5, 2015. Juan Cantu is directing.
Mad Cow Theatre is seeking talented actor/singers for all roles in Ain’t Misbehavin’. All performers must be sensational vocalists and strong, creative actors. Auditioners should prepare a selected song from the show, which will be emailed to you upon your audition appointment confirmation and 32 bars of a contrasting song. An accompanist will be provided. Bring sheet music in your key as well as a picture and resume. Please no CDs. See below for a character list.

ANDRE: An unrepentant party hound. A flirt and a bit of a womanizer. African-American male, 25-45
years old. Range: G2-E6

KEN: Jovial, cheerful, and loud. Larger than life. African-American male, 25-45 years old. Range: D3-C6

ARMELIA: A voluptuous and sassy woman. Very strong-willed and not afraid to share her thoughts. African-American female, 25-45 years old.Range: G3-C6

CHARLAINE: A sweet, young lady. Very innocent. African-American female, 18-25 years old. Range: G3-G5

NELL: Confident and charming. A knowledgeable woman of the world. African-American female, 30-45 years old. Range: F3-F5
