SYNOPSIS:
Ebenezer Scrooge and his ghostly encounters come to life in this lavish and thrilling adaptation of Dickens' Christmas classic. Broadway heavy hitters, Alan Menken (Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Disney's The Little Mermaid, Little Shop of Horrors) and Lynn Ahrens (Ragtime, Seussical, Once on This Island), breathe fantastic new life into the classic tale of A Christmas Carol.

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN
Please note the role of Scrooge has been cast. ALL OTHER ROLES OPEN!!!

A note from the Director ... This is a true ensemble piece and one of the most beautiful scores ever written! Imagine if the scores of Titanic the Musical and Ragtime had a Christmas baby, this would be it!!! The Madison Square Garden production featured over 100 actors because of how many featured roles there are throughout the show for all adult ages. Just because it is dark and gritty London don't think there is no dancing. There are several BIG dance numbers for both men and women who love to move, especially girls to be featured in the Rockette Christmas Spectacular-style number, "Abundance & Charity." If you are looking to sing some incredible choral pieces this is also the show for you. This adaptation is rarely done due to its size and we are so lucky that the Algonquin Arts Theatre is mounting this show this holiday season. Please come audition and be part of it!
