Alley Theatre Auditions Young Actors
WHAT
The Alley Theatre is holding auditions for boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 12 to be considered for roles in the Alley Theatre’s 2014 production of A Christmas Carol – A Ghost Story of Christmas as well as auditions for boys between the ages of 7 and 11 to be considered for the role of Bert in the Alley Theatre’s 2015 production of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons.
Children wishing to audition for A Christmas Carol must be available for rehearsals and performances November 4 through December 24, 2014. Boys wishing to audition for All My Sons must be available for rehearsals and performances February 25 through April 19, 2015.
The Alley Theatre will perform their 2014-2015 season at the University of Houston (UH), on its main campus, as its downtown theatre undergoes an extensive renovation. For more information about the season programs to be performed at UH visit

REQUIREMENTS
Children must be age 12 or younger; and may not be members of AEA or SAG-AFTRA.
Children auditioning should be prepared to sing one verse a cappella from a traditional holiday song such as “Hark the Herald Angels Sing” or “O Come All Ye Faithful.” Children should also prepare an age appropriate short monologue, story or joke. Total material prepared should not exceed two minutes.
