AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT: NOW CASTING FOR TOTEM POLE PLAYHOUSE’S ANNUAL PRODUCTION OF A CHRISTMAS CAROL
Totem Pole Playhouse, Pennsylvania’s premiere summer theatre, located in Caledonia State Park between Gettysburg and Chambersburg, PA, is pleased to announce that Director Rowan Joseph will hold auditions for its annual production of A Christmas Carol this Saturday, September 30 and Sunday, October 1 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Gettysburg College’s Majestic Theater, 25 South Carlisle Street, Gettysburg.
All ages are needed for this family-friendly production. Please bring a headshot and resume if available. Cold readings from the script will be the audition.
This all-new ninety-minute Christian adaptation of one of the most popular Yuletide story of all time, A Christmas Carol simply and directly tells about the redemption of the human soul, and the importance of Christian charity, while preserving the beautiful language, charm and humor of Charles Dickens’ classic tale. Set in Victorian England, the play opens on a busy London street with Christmas Eve shoppers and vendors alike caught up in the holiday spirit. Their enthusiasm is quickly dampened with the arrival of Ebenezer Scrooge, who considers the celebration of the birth of the Christ child a waste of time and money. Rehearsals are evenings and weekends between November 6 and December 2, with performances December 8-17, 2017, including some weekday matinees.
