Alley Theatre Hosts Young Actor Auditions for A Christmas Carol
Calling all young actors ages 5 to 13 to be considered for Rob Melrose’s magical new adaptation of the heart-warming holiday classic
WHAT: Alley Theatre is holding auditions for children between the ages of 5 and 13 to be considered for roles in Alley Theatre’s 2022 production of A Christmas Carol. Those wishing to audition must be available for rehearsals and performances October 4 through December 30, 2022.
REQUIREMENTS
Children must be between the ages of 5 and 13; and may not be members of AEA or SAG-AFTRA.
Children auditioning should be prepared to sing one verse a cappella from a traditional holiday song such as “Hark the Herald Angels Sing” or “O Come All Ye Faithful.” Children should also prepare an age-appropriate short monologue, story or joke. Total material prepared should not exceed two minutes.

COVID-19 POLICIES AND PROTOCOLS: We are committed to the health and safety of all of our artists, employees, and guests. In order to maintain the safest environment possible, all Alley Theatre staff, artists, creative teams, crews, and ushers are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
The Alley has COVID-19 safety protocols in place, which currently include a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy and masks for all staff and artists (including young actors). Further protocols will be determined based on conditions closer to the start of rehearsal.
During the audition process, parents and young actors should wear masks while at the Alley. The young actors can remove their masks while auditioning, as well as for the fitting and photos that will be taken.
