LOST & FOUND is two week summer intensive for young theatre artists to learn challenging music and choreography from some of the latest and hottest Broadway Musicals, along with taking a series of workshops to enhance their quality of performance
both onstage and off. The focus of this intensive is for students to have the opportunity
to perform material they enjoy and can completely relate to in the world they face
today, while guiding students on their discovery of who they are as artists. We will be
promoting ensemble work and team building to insure that all students feel equal and
apart of the creative process. Each day from 9am-3pm students will be in a professionally
run rehearsal process, working to learn 15 selected Broadway songs. Students
will have a 30 minute lunch break, and will participate in a 1 hour workshop.
Students will be required to pack a lunch each day. By the end of the camp, students
will have the knowledge on how to format a professional acting resumé, pick the best
style of headshot, how to belt without any strain, how to be comfortable within their
own bodies, and how to put on a play utilizing all of their resources. At the end of the
intensive, there will be two performances to showcase the students hard work for all
family and friends to attend. We hope students have lots of fun learning and creating
together, and discovering something completely new about themselves and how they
perform.
