Justin David Sullivan, who plays May in & Juliet on Broadway, is temporarily out of the show following an onstage injury.

BroadwayWorld is on the hunt for a new member of our team- a Social Media Coordinator. This is a full-time, mostly work-from-home position; however, living in or near New York City is a must to support coverage of live events weekly, including opening nights, concerts, and other press events. 

Levon Hawke, the son of Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke will make his theater directing debut with Picture Day, a play he has also written. The play will serve as the first full-length production from Quick and Dirty Theatre Company.

Go inside rehearsals for Barrington Stage's Next to Normal directed by  Artistic Director Alan Paul (August 13-September 8), in a co-production with Round House Theatre in Washington, DC. The production stars Natalie Joy Johnson, most recently seen on Broadway in Lempicka.

Broadway's own Eden Espinosa has signed with Stewart Talent. Espinosa was last seen on Broadway in the musical, Lempicka. She is managed by Jed Abrahams/The Rosenzweig Group.

BroadwayWorld has just learned that Hacks star Jean Smart will lead an upcoming reading of the one woman play, A Circle in the Water. The reading will be held August 21-22 at The Duke and is by invitation only.

Stage Entertainment announced that acclaimed Brazilian performer, Benét Monteiro, will play the title role of ‘MJ’ in the German premiere of the musical MJ - Das Michael Jackson Musical.

The cast of the Tony Award-winning musical The Outsiders appeared on Good Morning America on Tuesday, their first television appearance since winning the coveted Best Musical award in June. The new Broadway production of Thornton Wilder’s Our Town will open its box office at The Barrymore Theatre beginning on Tuesday, August 6 at 10 am! To mark the occasion, the production will be giving out a special exclusive gift to the first 100 people in line on Tuesday, August 6 and Wednesday, August 7.

A new musical, Particle Fever, based on the 2013 documentary film about the largest scientific experiment ever undertaken, is currently in development. The musical is written by David Henry Hwang, includes new music and lyrics by Bear McCreary and Zoe Sarnak, is directed by Leigh Silverman, and produced by Megan Kingery and Annie Roney.
