Opera Atelier will celebrate its landmark 40th year with two significant productions: the company’s production of Mozart’s The Magic Flute and the world premiere of Debussy’s surrealist opera, Pelléas.

Music Theater Works has announced the cast and creative team for the first production of its 2025 season, Guys and Dolls, in the North Theatre at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie.

​​​​​​​It’s difficult to imagine anyone watching Oedipus without having prior knowledge of the story’s brutal twist - especially the case given that a rival production of the same play has just closed in the West End to critical acclaim.

After premiering on Broadway over a decade ago in 2014, IF/THEN will be arriving on the West End as a two-night-only concert production at the Savoy Theatre. The musical stars Kerry Ellis as Elizabeth, a 38-year-old woman whose life splits into two paths after making a choice. The concert’s cast also features Adam Garcia, David Hunter, Preeya Kalidas, John-Owen Jones, Jenny Fitzpatrick, Tim Howard, Carl Man and Joni Ayton-Kent.

The prizes continue at Sadler’s Wells with both a Bloom and Rose contender showing their work.
