Maestro Edo de Waart joins forces with arguably one of the finest violinists of his generation, Grammy Award-winner Augustin Hadelich, to present de Waart’s third Masterworks concert for 2018.
Beethoven’s only Violin Concerto needs endurance and power, and Hadelich is the perfect virtuoso to present this violin concerto tour-de-force with the NZSO.
Brahms’ Symphony No. 2 is a lush romantic work, displaying the confidence of a composer who had found his voice. It’s an audience favourite and one the NZSO will play with relish.
