Mistletones is a celebration of Christmas for all ages, featuring a 16-stong cast and 12 piece band, performing iconic songs such as: "Baby it's Cold Outside", "Jingle Bell Rock" and "Fairytale of New York".

Drawing from a wide talent-pool, Director Matt de Villiers and Music Director Cameron Stewart have put together a cast and band that have performed with the CPIT Jazz School, University of Canterbury Musical Theatre Society, Christchurch Youth Orchestra as well as various other professional and amateur organisations.

Matt, the driving force behind the show, describes the project as “one of my life’s ambitions finally coming true”.

“I wanted to bring something a little different to Christchurch this Christmas”, he says, “so decided to produce and direct a family-friendly Christmas themed cabaret, and also take on the rather daunting financial burden myself”.

Opening at the Christ’s College Old Boys Theatre on 19 December, Mistletones will run for a strictly limited season, until 21 December.
