As explained on page 10 of the 2013 brochure, for the first time ever Circa Theatre kept one spot free in the performance calendar, in order to ensure that we continue to capture only the best of New Zealand and International work in our programme. They have announced the addition of Mike and Virginia, directed by Kerryn Palmer, to our 2013 line-up!
Taking the stage in Circa Two from 23 March to 20 April, Mike and Virginia is a fast-moving romp of a play from two of New Zealand's busiest screenwriters, Kathryn Burnett (The Strip; Amazing Extraordinary Friends; The Cult) and Nick Ward (Stickmen, Second Hand Wedding and Love Birds). They have set out to explore and subvert every romantic comedy convention in the book, resulting in a love story that is smart, funny and surprisingly tender; a romantic comedy about romantic comedy. Starring Gentiane Lupi, Will Hall, Jennifer Martin, Stephen Papps and Perry Piercy.
In order to celebrate this addition to the 2013 Circa programme, there will be a ticket deal on GrabOne on Friday, 8 February, offering a limited number of reduced tickets for the first week of the season. Visit www.grabone.co.nz first thing tomorrow to snap one up!
