Bite Size Theatre Explodes Into Wellington
By: Te Rina Thompson Sep. 09, 2009
bite size theatre is dedicated to performances in it's possibly shortest form. Every show comprises six short pieces created by six different artistic teams - all to one topic. The aim is to explore this theme to a broad extent from six different perspectives and with six different artistic means.
The topic for the first bite size theatre show in September is EXPLOSION. It will feature a mix of three theatre pieces, one dance work, one performance art piece and a video installation. We are inviting the audience into a space similar to a gallery - they walk around in a promenade theatre installation from "picture" to "picture", from performance to performance. All bites stand for themselves and at the same time relate to one topic and therefore also to each other. The audience can draw their own connections, disconnections and associations towards EXPLOSION.Astrid Gleichmann (6-channel video installation)
