It's very rare that we BATS folk talk about sport, but with The Second Test starting up tomorrow night, there is a sudden interest in cricket... especially since Bob Blair, who is pretty much the star character of the show, is coming to the opening night! There are still tickets left too, so if you'd like to meet a legend, come on down...
On the sillier side, Skungpoomery is all about jizz, zoom, and showing your prannock, from a whole bunch of people who met doing Young and Hungry and in The Pit Bar. The best way to meet!
So two very cool shows for the next fornight, for you very cool people. And like someone said in a blog the other week, all for the price of a couple of wines. Bonza!

"Grown men... New Zealanders in the pavilion and the South Africans on the field, shed tears at this moving moment, and they were not ashamed." R.T. Brittenden
It's 1953 and the New Zealand cricket team - who've never won a test - embark on their maiden tour to South Africa. After a long sea voyage the team reaches its destination and their campaign commences in earnest. Then suddenly back home tragedy strikes as the Tangiwai disaster unfolds.
The Second Test is a true New Zealand story of courage performed on stage by Jonny Brugh, including original film shot by the team members themselves.
"I'm not a cricket fan, but I was drawn into this little gem, because it has wide appeal and heart." - Kate Ward-Smythe, Theatreview

Has life lost its jizz and zoom? Are you feeling peck-peck-pecked at? Is your relationship with your knees lack-lustre?
Never fear, for the amazing Faz and his feeble minded assistant Twoo will empty the strife right out've your life in this madcap comedy of coppers in bins, bloomer-trussed dames and the exploits of the devious pyjama gang!
With guffaw and glee Imaginary Bees presents the immense gift of Skungpoomery, a whole new range and catalogue of items and activities for you to lose your wallow and follow the vocab down to your clanging back gums. Join us for an hour of laugh-out-loud, wee-in-your-pants fun for young and old and all of those whose fingers twitch at an unpressed emergency button. We've even got tricks up your sleeves.
Go on... show us your prannock!
Win tickets!
For a pre-Easter treat we've got a double pass to the opening night of Elimination Rounds! Tell us if you were an animal, what would you be- and why.... Congratulations to Paul Ross who won tickets to Skungpoomery. His favourite word is 'waji waji' (meaning angry in the Okinawa dialect of Japanese).
Next week's winner will be drawn at 11am next Monday by BATS staff. Good luck!
