Direct from performing in New York, award-winning New Zealand entertainer Ali Harper is bringing her glamorous and captivating show Legendary Divas to The PumpHouse Theatre, Takapuna.

Legendary Divas honours the legendary women that inspired us all with their music. Talented, hardworking, original and courageous women who gave so much of themselves, no matter the price.... Shirley Bassey, Dusty Springfield, Judy Garland, Doris Day, Barbra Streisand and many more, all accompanied by the incomparable David Sidwell on piano.

Expect nostalgia, comedy, audience participation, a rip-roaring 80's medley with a splash of Madonna as well as many stories enlightening the audience; French Chanteuse Edith Piaf's connection with the Resistance, a Julie Andrew's 'My Fair Lady' spoof to Dolly Parton's love for the 'nip and tuck'.

This show is for anyone who wants to reminisce and celebrate those extraordinary women whose songs will always remain in our hearts.

A career spanning over 25 years, this mother/ singer/ actress has starred in numerous musicals and plays throughout New Zealand. Many highlights include Mary Poppins, Blood Brothers, Mamma Mia, Legally Blond, My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music, Guys and Dolls, South Pacific, A Shortcut to Happiness, Side by Side by Sondheim, Jacques Brel is alive and well and living in Paris, Jerry's Girls, The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Tell Me on a Sunday.

Ali recently performed in New York at the United Solo Festival on 42nd Street where she was awarded Best One Woman Show for 'Songs for Nobodies.' She also performed her show 'A Down Under Diva!' in New York's prestigious cabaret club 'Don't Tell Mama'.
