Rivertown Theaters for the Performing Arts Co-Producers/Artistic Directors Gary Rucker and Kelly Fouchi continue their commitment to providing opportunities and productions to showcase and develop the talents of budding local thespians with a delightful production of Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr. running March 31 - April 9 in the Lagniappe Theater.
Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr. is one of musical theatre's brightest and most innovative shows. The Emmy Award-winning Saturday morning educational cartoon series is the basis for one of
the most fun and energetic musicals ever to hit the stage! Teaching history, grammar, math, science and politics through clever, tuneful songs, audiences from children to Generation X-ers will delight in this sure-fire entertainment that's simply good, clean, educational fun!
All of the beloved, classic songs will be presented in a mix of musical styles by students in 5th grade & up. Favorites include: "I'm Just A Bill", "The Preamble", "Unpack Your Adjectives", "Electricity", "Conjunction Junction", "The Circulation", Interplanet Janet", "3 is a Magic Number" and more.

Now in its multiple award-winning fifth season, Rivertown Theaters for the Performing Arts kicked off its inaugural "Broadway Series At Rivertown" Schedule For The 2012-2013 Season with a new name, a new management company, Theatre 13, and new artistic directors, Gary Rucker and Kelly Fouchi. The mission of Theatre 13 is to bring new and exciting productions to the New Orleans area while providing local theater artists an opportunity to perform and create, as well as teach and showcase the talents of children of all ages.
Today, Theatre 13 is producing a wide range of professional theatrical performances, from Broadway musicals and locally penned theatrical works to children's theater for Rivertown Theaters for the Performing Arts.
