As part of its Summer Theater Festival for Families, Rivertown Theaters will close out its 2017-2018 season with a lavish production of one of Disney's timeless Broadway musicals that continues to be a favorite with multi-generations July 12 - 22.
"Be Our Guest!" The Academy Award-winning film comes to life in this romantic and beloved take on the classic fairytale. Step into the enchanted world of Broadway's modern classic, Disney's Beauty and the Beast, an international sensation that has played to over 35 million people worldwide in 13 countries. The stage version includes all of the wonderful songs written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Mr. Menken and Tim Rice. The original Broadway production ran for over thirteen years and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical. This "tale as old as time" is filled with spectacular costumes, sets and your favorite characters like Belle, Gaston, Lumiere, Cogsworth, Ms. Potts, Chip and more. Keeping with their summer tradition, Rivertown Theater continues to bring the community together for family theater at its best.

Now in its multiple award-winning sixth season, Rivertown Theaters for the Performing Arts kicked off its inaugural "Broadway Series At Rivertown" Schedule For the 2012-2013 inaugural season with a new name, a new management company, Theatre 13, and new artistic directors, Gary Rucker and Kelly Fouchi. The mission of Theatre 13 is to bring new and exciting productions to the New Orleans area while providing local theater artists an opportunity to perform and create, as well as teach and showcase the talents of children of all ages. Today, Theatre 13 is producing a wide range of professional theatrical shows, from Broadway musicals and locally penned theatrical works to children's theater for Rivertown Theaters for the Performing Arts.
