Pull out the potholders and the Lemon Fresh Pledge: Running With Scissors is taking you where dustbunnies fear to tread, into the spic-and-span heart of suburban America! We're traveling to the community of Stepford, Louisiana -- a place where the loafers are light, the cosmos are crisp, and wives are always on the watch for waxy yellow buildup. Join us as we pull back the curtain on THE REALLY DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES OF STEPFORD PARISH!

Our story begins with Joanna Morgenstern, a feisty wife and fledgling artist, who moves from her plush home in New Orleans to the quiet, comfortable Northshore village of Stepford. But almost as soon as she pulls into her new cul-de-sac, things go from quaint to quirky. Joanna's husband -- acclaimed florist Walter Morgenstern -- joins the local Men's Association and spends most nights at the clubhouse with his new pals. And as pretty as her new home may be, Joanna doesn't know what to make of her new ladyfriends, whose deeply domestic habits don't jibe with Joanna's good-time gal ways.

After a bumpy start, Joanna eventually encounters a couple of kindred spirits: tomboy Bobby Marco and superstar TV bombshell Tina Louise. At last, Joanna thinks she's going to make it after all! But then, like a '73 Pinto, her hopes go up in flames. Bobby and Tina become just like all the other Stepford wives, and Joanna feels sure she's next! What's turning all her friends into homebound hausfraus? Who's going to those disco parties at the Men's Association? Why does the water taste like axle grease? And most importantly: will Joanna escape from Stepford to the warm comfort of Bush?

THE REALLY DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES OF STEPFORD PARISH stars Kyle Daigrepont, Bob Edes JR., Brian Peterson, Dorian Rush, and Michael Sullivan. Props are by Liz Zibilich, with sound/video by Richard Read. The original script was created by the company, inspired by Ira Levin's classic camp novel, The Stepford Wives, a couple of movies by the same name, and a shameful love of reality shows.

All shows are held at Le Chat Noir, 715 St. Charles Avenue, New Orleans. Tickets are $26 for Friday and Saturday, and $21 for Sunday. All tickets include a $5 bar credit.
