Playmakers of Baton Rouge Present EVANGELINE THE MUSICAL in Concert, 12/3

Tickets are now on sale for Evangeline the Musical In Concert. The 10th anniversary production of this blockbuster hit is running one weekend only as a benefit for Playmakers of Baton Rouge, Louisiana's only professional theatre for young audiences.

Evangeline the Musical will be performed December 3th-5th in the Visual and Performing Arts Center at Episcopal School with 7:30 p.m. performances on Friday, Dec. 4th and Saturday, Dec. 5th with a possible Saturday matinee.

The special opening night performance on Thursday, December 3rd is at 8pm and will include a dessert and champagne preshow reception and a silent auction for a ticket price of $50. Friday and Saturday night performances are $25. Tickets are general admission and are on sale on the Playmakers' website www.playmakers.net.

Returning as Director of the production is Paige Gagliano, with Paul Taranto, co-creator, returning as Music Director/Conductor. Performers who will reprise their roles for the benefit production include Andre Chapoy as Father Felician, Jamie Wax, co-creator, as Matt from Ville Platte, Melanie Couvillon as Praline, Danny Palminteir as Basil, Celeste Angelle Veillon as Madame Hebert, and Mike Katchmer as Winslow.

The role of Evangeline will be performed by Bailey Purvis, a finalist in the ABC Disney Reality show High School Musical Get in the Picture.
