PETER PAN Takes Flight At JPAS! Image Take a trip to Neverland with the cast of Peter Pan! Broadway's timeless classic musical whisks you away to a place where dreams are born and no one ever grows up!

Based on J.M. Barrie's classic tale and featuring an unforgettable score by Morris "Moose" Charlap and Jule Styne with lyrics by Carolyn Leigh and Betty Comden and Adolph Green, Peter Pan is one of the most beloved and frequently performed family favorites of all time. First performed on Broadway in 1954, Peter Pan has delighted audience all over the world.

Peter Pan (Shelbie Mac) and his mischievous fairy sidekick, Tinkerbell, visit the nursery of the Darling children late one night and, with a sprinkle of pixie dust, begin a magical journey across the stars that none of them will ever forget. In the adventure of a lifetime, the travelers come face to face with a ticking crocodile, a fierce Indian tribe, a band of bungling pirates and, of course, the villainous Captain Hook (Jimmy Murphy) and his sidekick Smee (Matthew Shurley).

Featuring the iconic songs, "I'm Flying," "I've Gotta Crow," "I Won't Grow Up" and "Never Never Land," Peter Pan is the perfect show for the child in all of us... who dreamed of soaring high and never growing up.

Director, "Uncle" Wayne Daigrepont, recalls that in the 50s and 60s, Peter Pan was one of the shows you "just didn't miss" (along with Wizard of Oz). He continues that the JPAS production "will have every dime of electricity as Mary Martin." "The physical characteristics of actor Matthew Shurley is certainly something you have never seen before in the role of Smee."

A cast of 34, with 18 kids as young as 6 years old, is the most age diverse cast to take the stage in a JPAS mainstage production in the new Jefferson Performing Arts Center.

Maestro Dennis G. Asssaf conducts a 22 piece JPAS Symphony Orchestra that is sure to take the score to sweeping heights.

Special flying stunts and effects by ZFX, Inc., the company that flew Mary Poppins (2016) and Tarzan (2017) over the audience, will dazzle and add to the fantasy world.
Kids are encouraged to attend in costume, and the first 50 through the door each performance will be invited to meet characters after the show. Children ages 7 - 17 (in costume) will be entered into a drawing to win a role in our spring production of "Once on this Island" and a family 4 pack of tickets.
