Bessie award-winning choreographer/performance artist Scott Heron creates an evening of immersive theatre that takes the audience on a trip from dirty St. Claude Avenue to the darkest corner of the Marigny Theatre. Local nightlife rituals erupt throughout the lounge, including sissy bounce dance on the bar, a Cher impersonator, brawling lesbian police officers, off-kilter country line dancing and the infamous Bourbon Street gay bar tradition of "Love is in the Air" napkin toss. The mayhem climaxes in a rowdy box office scene where the patrons finally find themselves inside the dark, silent, empty theatre. Heron then invites the audience to join him on stage where he performs, up close and personal, his indescribable, highly physical solo dance piece. The evening ends when the curtain opens and the ensemble performs a large group dance in the empty house of the Marigny Theatre.

Scott Heron spent the better part of the 80's and 90's in downtown New York where he danced and performed throughout the East Village, including Dance Theater Workshop, The Kitchen, Dixon Place and especially at PS 122 which has produced five evening length works of Heron's. His work embraces the absurd, the improbable, and the beauty of awkwardness. He was honored with a 2003 New York Dance and Theater "Bessie" award for his body of work as a performer. He currently owns and operates the Sidearm Gallery on St. Roch Ave. "Some Times at the All Ways" is his first full length presentation in New Orleans.
