Based on a non-fiction children's book, MOVING HEAVY THINGS is a playful, creative and engaging piece about how to approach problems in a more positive, a more hopeful way. Lift With Your Knees Productions will be enacting the examples of the "Best Science Book of the Year" alongside its colorful sets and physical examples. In addition to actors, dancers and "Heavy Lifters" performing largescale physics, there will also be audience participation where the audience will be invited to move heavy things themselves. MOVING HEAVY THINGS is adapted by Miriam Jones and Russ Skellenger and directed by Russ Skellenger.

The performances will take place at The Candle Factory, 4537 North Robertson Ave. New Orleans, LA, 70117. Showtimes are tonight, 11/14 at 7pm & 9pm, 11/15 at 8pm & 10pm, 11/16 at 7pm & 11pm, 11/17 at 8pm & midnight, and 11/18 at 8pm & 10pm. Tickets are priced at $8.00 with Fringe Button, $10 without Fringe Button.

The cast includes Danielle Small (Teacher), Geno Booher (Narrator), Libbie Allen (Ring Girl) and Stumps da Clown (Old Timer 1).

MOVING HEAVY THINGS is geared to children grades 4 - 6, intending to show empowerment to young people, show them that they can accomplish anything they put their mind to. The show will bring the exuberance, humor and madcap excitement to simple physics. The audience will watch big, heavy things being lifted, rolled, flipped, twirled and gently re-positioned by singing characters in a colorful non-fiction presentation quite unlike anything anyone has ever seen before.
