Jefferson Performing Arts Society Announces its 32nd Season of Musicals, Comedies and New Works!

"Our new season offers something for everyone at any age," says Dennis G. Assaf, JPAS Executive/Director. "I really wanted to bring our theatre patrons a season of the highest variety with Broadway hits and new, exciting and original works. This season the JPAS world really is YOUR stage - we couldn't continue to do what we do without the support, patronage and talent in our community. JPAS is here because of our patrons and we hope they enjoy all that we offer in our 32nd Season!"

The season is subject to change without notice. Season tickets are on sale August 10. Visit www.jpas.org or call 504-885-2000 for tickets, special discount packages and more!

The JPAS Box Office is located at 1118 Clearview Parkway in Metairie. Box Office hours are Tuesday through Friday from 9am-5pm and Saturday, 10am-3pm. The Jefferson Performing Arts Center is located at 400 Phlox Street in Metairie. The Westwego Performing Arts Theatre and Teatro Wego! Dinner Theatre are located at 177 Sala Avenue in Westwego, approximately two miles from the foot of the Huey P. Long Bridge.

NEW ORLEANS AREA PREMIERE! There are laughs aplenty in VIAGARA FALLS, A NEW COMEDY PLAY about the waning days of physical pleasure for two widowers and best friends, Charley Millhouse and Moe Crubbs. On the night of his seventy-seventh birthday, Charley decides that what he and Moe need more than a balloon and a birthday cake is a fling (perhaps the last) with two "ladies of the evening." When only one girl, a beautiful and sympathetic $100 per hour happy-hooker arrives assuring them she is enough girl for both of them, comedy ensues with rapid fire jokes and vaudevillian sensibility that is both hilarious and heart-warming. (Due to the subject matter of this show, parental discretion is strongly advised).

When a parishioner volunteers to donate $10,000 to the sisters' school if they will perform in a club in Las Vegas, Mother Superior is hesitant to accept. However, after being convinced by the other sisters that "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" Reverend Mother agrees. What follows is the most feather-filled, sequin-studded, fan dancing Nunsense show ever!

With all the money that will be leftover, the pair will be rich! Only one thing goes wrong: "Springtime for Hitler" turns out to be a gigantic hit!
