The Bywater neighborhood is a HUGE supporter of the Fringe and home to many Fringe venues and artists! Don't miss the Mirliton Festival! Markey Park, 11 am - 7 pm.

This year's Mirliton Festival promises to be great!! The diverse and talented musical lineup includes Bywater's own Kermit Ruffins, Gal Holiday and the Honky Tonk Revue, 101 Runners, Happy Talk Band, R Scully's Rough 7, New Orleans Jazz Vipers, Hurray for the Riff Raff and the Mirlitones .

At 3 pm, the Mirliton Festival stage will be invaded by Fringe Revenge from the Deep Water with a moth team. The Mirliton crowds will get a glimpse -- or an eyeful -- of the madness of the Fringe Festival.

At 4 pm, Fringe performer Asia Rainey will take the Mirliton stage and rock the park with her brilliant spoken word, which will be featured in the Fringe in "Shut Up & Fly" and "Bam Bam Boom! Baby Boom!!"

So come out to the famous Mirliton Festival in the Bywater on Saturday, November 6th from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. at Markey Park (corner of Piety and Royal streets). Admission is $5 for the general public and $3 for BNA members. Kids 5 years of age and under are free.
The Mirliton Festival will also feature an eclectic mix of artists, a children's activity area, and some great new merchandise including t-shirts, bumper stickers, cookbooks, and mirliton bread.

Get a taste of Fringe and enjoy the gorgeous day in the Bywater.

Thanks to the Bywater for supporting the Fringe!!!

New Orleans Fringe is Coming! Get Ready for a Wild Week
November 17-21

How wild?
Sea-monster aerialists, revolutionary cabaret, lab science rock-n-roll run amuck, theater-in-a-truck, a Chinese poetry and washtub band, a freakshow with real freaks, industrial-strength butoh, border-war stories, the Weinermobile, bicycle clowns and bingo drama, puppets and fetishists, gorgeous dance in a crumbling church, and a teeny tiny train that you have a ticket to ride....

...and that's just a taste.

Performers from New Orleans, around Louisiana, all over the the US and even international groups are bringing their own flavors of Fringe to our city.
