The MAC Players, Middletown Arts Center's community theater group, returns this fall with the creepy, kooky, mysterious, spooky and altogether ooky "The Addams Family: A New Musical Comedy". This comical feast embraces the wackiness in every family, featuring an original story and every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before– keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.

Cast and Creative team for The Addams Family: A New Musical Comedy at Middletown Arts Center

Cast

Joseph Bryant

Gomez
is ecstatic to take on the role of Gomez in The Addams Family. Joseph has been doing theatre around NJ for the past five years! This year, he recently added credits such as You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown (Charlie Brown), Something Rotten (Nick Bottom), Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Pharaoh/Naphtali) and Grease (Sonny). Joseph would love to take the time to thank his wonderful family and friends for their endless support. Thank you to Kathy, Nick, Sam, Brenden and John for their devotion to making this come to life. Joseph wants to also thank the cast for all their contributions. A special thanks to his wonderful stage-wife Victoria – this would all not be possible without her and he is grateful to share the stage alongside her. He is beyond thrilled to bring a part of this family to life.

Victoria Leigh Keiser

Morticia
Victoria is thrilled to be making her debut with the MAC! As a long-time fan of "The Addams Family", playing "Morticia" has been a dream role for many years. She is so excited to be working with such an amazing cast, crew and production team on this show.

Brooke Hussey

Wednesday
Brooke is currently a Junior at The Academy For Preforming Arts. She has preformed in shows such as "Guys and Dolls", "The Wiz", "Forward Through The Past", "Annie", "Legally Blonde", and one of her favorites, "Into The Woods", where she played the part of the Witch.

Patrick Comey

Uncle Fester
Patrick Comey is thrilled to be returning to the MAC for this delightful production of The Addams Family! Previous MAC credits include Shrek The Musical (Shrek); other credits include Rent (Collins), All Shook Up (Jim), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Reuben) and Bridges of Madison County (Charlie). Many thanks to Kathy, Nick, Sam, Brenden and the rest of the cast and crew for this kooky experience!

Carmen Matarazzo

Lucas
Carmen Matarazzo is making his debut with The MAC Players in The Addams Family. Carmen, a graduate of Pinelands High School, is an actor/drummer who has performed in multiple school and theater productions including Mary Poppins (Robertson Ay), Clue: On Stage (Professor Plum), 13 (Eddie), Almost Maine (Chad), Spring Awakening (Ernst), Heathers (Ensemble), On the Waterfront (Charley Malloy) and The Sound of Music (Captain Von Trapp). He’s very grateful to have met and worked with so many talented actors that he hasn’t worked with before and would like to thank each and every one of them for sharing the experience with him, along with his family and friends who never fail to support him.

Caitlin Martin

Alice
Caitlin Martin is thrilled to be back performing with The MAC Players after Shrek The Musical last year. Her favorite roles include Meg March in Little Women, the Musical, Claire in Rumors and Agnes Snow in I Do! I Do!

Justin Grossman

Mal
Justin Grossman is thrilled to be back acting again after a twelve-year hiatus from community theatre. Acting credits include Pippin (Ensemble), The Wiz, (Warrior Messenger), The Wedding Singer (Ricky the Bartender), Starmites (Starmite Ack Ack Ackerman) and Taming of the Shrew (Hortensio). He is extremely excited to be taking on the role of Mal Beineke and working along side his stage wife and this amazingly talented group of performers. He would like to thank Kathy, Nick, Sam and the rest of The MAC Players.

Cooper Bilsland

Pugsley
Cooper Bilsand is excited to make his debut with The MAC Players and perform with this awesome cast and crew. He relishes playing the role of a deranged brother (he also likes playing the role of Pugsley). Cooper first took the stage in a Kindergarten talent show and hasn’t looked back. Now a sophomore at Holmdel High School, Cooper’s most recent show was Oklahoma! (Ali Hakim). Having appeared in many productions, he holds a special place in his heart for the show Scrooge (Urchin/Cratchit/Turkey Boy). When not at rehearsals, you can find him gaming with his Friday night crew, and certainly never torturing his real-life siblings.

Brittany Ahr

Grandma
Recent productions include MAC Players' Shrek (Ensemble), Main Street Theatre Company's Sleepy Hollow: A Musical Tale" (Katrina Van Tassle) and Main Street Theatre Company's production of "American Idiot" (Ensemble). When she's not being silly on stage, she's being silly working at Nickelodeon in Social Media.

Christopher Dillon

Lurch
Christopher Dillon, a fifth-grade teacher during the day, is happy to be joining The MAC Players for this production. Chris has recently performed in the Premier Theater Company’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
