THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME at CHATHAM HIGH SCHOOL

On April 4 - 6, the Chatham High School Theatre Department will present the unforgettable musical The Hunchback of Notre Dame by Alan Menken, Stephen Schwartz & Peter Parnell. Performances will be held Thursday, April 4 at 6:00 p.m. and April 5 & 6 at 7:30 p.m. in the newly renovated CHS Performing Arts Center.

Based on the 1831 novel by Victor Hugo and songs from the Disney animated movie, deformed Notre Dame bell ringer, Quasimodo, longs to be “Out There” among the local Parisians. After escaping the tower, where he has been held captive by the overbearing archdeacon Dom Claude Frollo, Quasimodo finds himself treated cruelly by everyone but the beautiful and enchanting gypsy Esmeralda. Alas, he is not her only admirer. Competing with Frollo and the handsome Captain Phoebus, Quasimodo finds himself in a battle with Frollo to save the gypsies. Will he rescue his beloved Esmeralda? CHS is proud to be the first high school in New Jersey to premiere this beautiful and moving musical.

Tickets for performances are $12.00 for student/senior citizens and $15.00 for adults and can be purchased in advance online at chshunchback.brownpapertickets.com starting
