Dragonfly Multicultural Arts Center presents the New Jersey premiere of Jaja’s African Hair Braiding from February 21-23, 2025, at the duCret Center of Art. The play, set in a lively Harlem hair braiding salon, explores the lives of hair braiders and their clients, highlighting themes of connection and resilience within Black women's culture. Directed by Jada Davis, the production features actors Jolé Antoinette, Melyssa Searcy, Dion Moore, and a diverse ensemble who will braid hair on stage during the performance. This heartfelt narrative celebrates both the joy and challenges faced by immigrant communities and people of color in America.
