The Teaneck International Film Festival returns for its 19th year, featuring the narrative film Freedom Hair, which opens the festival on November 7. Based on a true story, the film tells the journey of a Black woman striving to establish a hair braiding business in Mississippi. The festival will showcase over 25 films, including documentaries, narrative features, and shorts, along with panel discussions featuring filmmakers and industry guests. The closing film will be Politics is a Mother, a documentary focusing on New Jersey Senator Loretta Weinberg.
